December 2022 Update: Year In Review

A Year of Firsts

Wow, this year has been a year of firsts. It was my first time working in both Africa and the Middle East. It was also my first time working on a ship this size. I have been to 10 new countries. I have learned so many new things. I have been stretched and seen a lot of growth in my life. I have seen God do so many amazing things this year.

Onboard, we have the world’s largest traveling bookfair, as well as many events. Our hope is that visitors will experience God’s presence during their time onboard, and as they interact with our crew that they would have the opportunity to hear more about who Jesus is and how much he loves them. Six days a week we also send teams of crew out to serve onshore. They partner with local ministries, churches, NGO’s, schools, prisons, etc. and do all kinds of ministry depending on the needs. It is amazing to watch how God uses the ship to accelerate what he was already doing in an area. We also see Him use the ship to unify local churches, ministries, and organizations like never before. It has been such a beautiful experience to be a part of.

In January, I prepared and left for a year serving on the M/V Logos Hope. I arrived in Ghana to meet the Logos Hope on January 31, 2022. Here is a look at the rest of my year serving onboard:

What’s Next

In January we will spend 3 weeks in Egypt, then sail to Jordan. My commitment on Logos Hope ends mid-February in Jordan. At this point my plan is to return to Florida for a few weeks for a break after a very busy year. My plans after that are unsure. I am praying about a few different options for the spring and still waiting on clarity from God on what the right path is. Please join me in praying for God’s leading in my next steps.

The Need

I am still waiting on some final details to come together on my exact departure date from the ship. Once that is set, I will purchase airfare back to Florida. I need to raise the funds to pay for that ticket, as well as for my last 1.5 months onboard. I am not exactly sure what that figure will be until my departure is set. But God knows, and I trust he will provide what is needed. Any extra money raised will go towards expenses back at home and towards funding my journey into wherever God leads me next. Thank you...

for each one of you who have invested in me and my ministry this year. I am so grateful for your prayers & support that help make all this possible. I do not get paid a salary, but rely on the generosity & support of family, friends, & churches. I couldn’t do this without my faithful partners. I pray God blesses you greatly for your partnership.
