April 2024: A move 🚚 is coming this way!

Here is my April update video. Watch to see what I was up to this month and hear what is coming up next.

Praise to God!

If you saw last month’s update, you know that I have been having some health issues over the last couple of years which have gotten pretty bad. I decided in order to recover I was going to have to take a break, get some rest, and focus on my health, something I haven’t been able to do onboard the ship. One of the things I had been instructed to do was focus on getting my gut health in order. I had to do some research on gut health (especially since my health issues are not issues with my digestion) and I was surprised to see how much of an effect gut health can have on our overall health. God led me to some all-natural products that are focused on doing that, which I started taking the end of December. This month I am really seeing them make some significant changes in my body. I am starting to feel better than I have in months. I am praising God for this amazing forward movement.

Not to sound like a salesperson, but I am so excited to see the changes to my body, I need to tell you a little bit about what I am doing. Some symptoms of an unhealthy gut are being exhausted all the time, migraines, mood swings or depression, poor sleep, brain fog, inflammation, hormone imbalance, digestion issues, craving food, stubborn weight, and more. The products I am using work to bring your gut back to a healthy state, and they are from a solid company that gives a 60-day money back guarantee. You don’t have to live with these issues or medicate with prescriptions that cause more issues. You can see healing and feel better. Please reach out to me if you want more details. You are worth the investment. Ok, sorry if you are rolling your eyes at me. I am done with my “sales pitch” now. 😬😃😆

YWAM Caribbean Gathering and Loren Cunningham Legacy Tour

This month YWAM Orlando was hosting two events that I was able to attend. I had such a wonderful and refreshing time. It was so nice to be surrounded by like-minded people worshiping our King. I was also able to reconnect with friends I haven’t seen in months or years. The Caribbean gathering was YWAM staff from different Caribbean ministries gathering to hear from God on the vision for the Caribbean and connect with one another. You will have to wait to the next section to hear why I was attending the Caribbean Gathering.

The Caribbean Gathering was followed up by the Loren Cunningham Legacy Tour. Loren Cunningham was the founder of YWAM, and he moved on to his heavenly home last October. This was a very sad loss for us in YWAM, but his legacy will live on for generations to come. These couple of days were a nice time of remembering and honoring Loren. We also talked about some key words that God spoke to Loren over the years for YWAM. We also discussed strategy for taking the mission forward. I left these events feeling so encouraged and excited to see what the future holds.

Drum Roll 🥁🥁🥁…Changes are Coming

I was approached a little over a year ago by YWAM Ships Corpus Christi asking if I would join their team. They are a newer ship’s base looking to establish YWAM ships working throughout the Caribbean. I have been in communication with them over the year and praying about the opportunity. I do believe that this is where God is leading me. I am not sure on the timing, but I will be moving to TX likely later this year to join them. Their directors and several of their staff attended the Caribbean meetings since this is the area they will be working in. They invited me to join them. As I said above, it was a great experience meeting new staff from islands that I have not worked on yet. I feel like I am beginning to dream again for the Caribbean, and this is so exciting. Back in 2015, when God started speaking to me about getting involved with YWAM ships, the vision He gave me was to be a part of pioneering YWAM Ships again in the Caribbean. Since then, I have been working so hard to learn how to be a mariner and how ship ministry works (that is an ongoing process and I have a lot still to learn), but I am excited to get back to the Caribbean and be a part of bringing YWAM ships back into the region.

There are a lot of details that need to be sorted before I am ready to actually make the move, as well as I want to continue to see some more improvement in my health before then (they are coming!). I will let you know more as things come together. Please pray for God to continue to lead and open the doors that need to be opened in His perfect timing.

Photo Highlights

Group picture from the Caribbean Gathering. Such beautiful souls.

Sitting and soaking in God’s presence at the Fathers table.

Hearing about some of what God is doing in the Caribbean.

Breakout times to process. So good.

Hearing from Darlene Cunningham as she remembers Loren and challenges us forward in his vision.

Naming a street on the YWAM Orlando base after Loren.

A tree planting ceremony in honor of Loren.

We had half a day off, so I took some of the Corpus Christi staff to Daytona Beach. Beach trips are always the best.

A wonderful dinner and time a fellowship with some of the Ship’s people attending the conference.

Some of the staff ladies from Corpus Christi who are quickly becoming friends.

For my birthday, my mother took me to the Dr. Phillips Center for Performing Arts to see a production called The Thorn. It is the story of God’s love for the world and the spiritual battle for all humanity.

I love the theatre and they did such a spectacular job telling the story of God in a beautifully artistic way. It was an extremely enjoyable night.
