Renewal in the Waiting

If you caught my last couple of updates, you know that God has me in a season of waiting. You likely remember that I was hoping to make the move to YWAM Ships Corpus Christi, TX the beginning of the year. But towards the end of last year, God asked me to put my timeline on this move on His altar. Then He told me to move into a season of Rest and Restoration.

I have continued in this place of resting at His feet. It really has been such a refreshing time of going deeper in my relationship with Him. I am so grateful for His timing. He truly knows what we need, even if it isn’t what we hoped for.

I am still not exactly sure what His timing is on the move to Corpus Christi, but things are moving forward. More on that coming in a minute.

If you don’t know about my move to work with YWAM Ships Corpus Christi, I encourage you to check out my update from last December. You can do so here: https://www.colleencrawford.info/post/2024-year-in-review-and-what-s-on-the-horizon

God’s Word – Our Sword

Did you know that I write a daily devotional? Toward the end of 2020, I started sending a Bible verse and a prayer based off that verse to a small group of friends that I wanted to encourage. I continued to do that throughout 2021. During that year I felt God challenging me to go bigger with it and make it public and thus “God’s Word – Our Sword” was birthed the end of 2021. I have a Facebook page, an Instagram page, and a webpage that these prayers get posted to every morning. People can also choose to have them emailed directly to their inboxes if they prefer that.

I truly believe that there is power in God’s Word and we need to be intentional about declaring those Words over our lives and life’s situations. We need to learn to use the Bible as our swords. My hope with these prayers is not only will they encourage people in their walk with God, but they will teach people how to be intentional in praying God’s words over their lives.

I really see this as a part of my ministry. Would you like to come alongside me in this? If you are on Facebook or Instagram, would you take a moment to like or follow my pages? If a prayer speaks to you, feel free to share it. These things will only help to get them in front of more people.

Exciting Things Coming in March

I am flying out to Corpus Christi, TX the beginning of next week (the first week of March) for two weeks. I am going out to join the staff team at YWAM Ship’s Corpus Christi (YSCC) for their annual Staff Retreat. We will be spending time in prayer and worship, taking in some teachings, as well as just spending time together as a family. I am so excited to be able to spend a few days together with the staff team and really get to know them all. After the staff retreat, I will be spending some time meeting and praying with the directors about some of what God has on the horizon for YSCC and me. I am also planning on taking some time to “scout out the land” and figure out some of the logistics for making the move to Corpus Christi.

Prayer Points

Please pray for my 2-week trip to Corpus Christi. Pray for:

  • God to really show up in powerful ways at the YSCC staff retreat.

  • Me to really quickly get to know and feel a part of the YSCC staff team.

  • My meetings with the directors after the staff retreat to be God led and insightful.

  • My time “scouting out the land” of Corpus Christi. That God would give me insight on a place to live and all the other logistical things I need in order to make the move.
