Things have looked a little different so far this year than normal. At the end of last year, I was in need of a bigger break than just the typical week or two. I came home for the holidays and in December I enjoyed having a great time with my family and getting some rest. I am currently still at my parent’s house and January has actually turned out to be a pretty busy month. I have been working on catching up on doctor check-ups. I finally admitted to myself that it was probably time to go to the eye doctor and get some glasses – oh the joys of getting older. Haha. I have generally been catching up on a lot of things that you can’t do or keep up with when you don’t have regular access to email and are overseas. It has been a month of doing all the fun adulting things in life.
New Journeys:
It has been good to catch up on all the “adulting” things, but what I have really enjoyed is being able to spend a lot of really focused time with God. When I came home, I felt like He told me a change was coming. Part of my time at home would be Him showing me what that was and what my next steps are in that new journey. Honestly, I have no idea what that means exactly. But I have a peace that I just need to seek Him and He will reveal it to me in His time. That doesn’t mean that I don’t get impatient at times just wanting to know what is next, but I know I can trust that whatever He has in store will be great.
The Launching:
While I can’t tell you exactly what is coming, I can share some of the exciting things that God has been sharing with me. I have spent January really digging into Proverbs and asking God for wisdom and it has been an amazing journey. I feel like I am already seeing so much growth in this area. He has also been speaking that this next season is a season of launching. That I am about to go bigger and farther than I ever have before. Right now, I feel like I am on the launch pad and the fire is igniting below me. Maybe it’s uncomfortable as it burns the junk out of my life and bring a greater level of purity, but I am really excited about it. Prov. 11:19-20 says, “A son of righteousness experiences the abundant life…The Lord…treasures those whose ways are pure.” I want to walk a truly righteous and pure life before the Lord. As the fire burns and gets stronger, I know God and I are about to take off. Even though I am not sure where the launch is going to send me, I am excited knowing that I will go with God.
The Roar:
Another verse that God has been highlighting over the last few days that has had some significant impact on me is Proverbs 28:1b (TPT), “…the innocent lovers of God, because of righteousness, will have the boldness of a young ferocious lion.” I am feeling like God has been awakening the lion within me. I hear Him saying that it is time to start walking like the confident lion and it is about time to roar.
And Thriving:
Again, I don’t know what all this next season will look like exactly, but I feel like God is preparing me for a larger release. I am really excited to see what it looks like. The last thing that I will share with you that God is saying is that this next season is about thriving. I heard Him say that you will no longer be living in a season of surviving but thriving. The last 25 years have been amazing, and I have seen God do so much, but they definitely were not always easy. I have fought hard in a lot of areas to keep my head above water to keep doing what God has called me to do. God is saying that in 2021 my situation is changing. I feel like something has broken in the spiritual realm and I can’t wait to move forward in this new season of thriving.
Be Praying:
So, keep staying tuned to see where God ends up launching me. I welcome prayers as I move forward in all that He has. I want to do my part to activate these words in my life. I need His clear directions on how to do that.
Claim it:
Lastly, I know that these words are not for me alone. I encourage you to take them and apply them to your 2021. I am not more special than each of you are. God loves us all and created us all for abundance. Let God work in your life. Ask him to draw you closer into His presence and bring more purity into your life. I leave you with one more Proverb for your life: Proverbs 12:12 (TPT) “The craving of the wicked are only for what is evil, but righteousness is the core motivation for the lovers of God, and it keeps them content and flourishing.”
Let 2021 be a year of launching, confidently roaring, and flourishing for all of us!
