My time at home these last few weeks was such a sweet time. I am so blessed to have so many friends and supporters to connect with. It was such an honor to meet with so many of you to share a meal or coffee and then exchange stories. I love sharing with you the things that God has been doing. It is your prayers and support that make it possible for me to serve God the way I do. I am so blessed by you and being able to share just some of what you have a part of makes my heart happy. If I missed you while I was home this time around, sorry. My time filled up quickly, but reach out to me and we can see if I can make it happen the next time I am home. I have been back onboard the ship for 10 days now. I am getting back into the busyness of ship life and slowly getting over jet lag. The ship is currently in Abu Dhabi, in the United Arab Emirates. We have been open to the public 15 days and have had over 56,000 people onboard and we still have two days. We will depart on Monday to sail to Bahrain. See below to see the ship schedule for the summer.
God is Still in the Miracle Working Business!
One of the reasons I came home was to get my passport renewed. It is normally a 4 to 6-week process. I found out right after I got home that it would instead take 3 to 4 months, which was way longer than my break. There was another option to apply for an urgent travel in-person appointment in Miami. What I didn't realize was that right now those appointments are next to impossible to get because the number of people requesting them are very great to the number of appointments. I was told there were no appointments available, not only in Miami, but there were also no appointments available in Atlanta and New Orleans (the next closest offices). I got off the phone and started praying for God to do a miracle and make a way. I called back again, and they said someone had just canceled an appointment in Miami the day before my flight back to the ship. My mother and I went to Miami for the weekend and enjoyed a nice mother daughter weekend together. On Monday morning at 7:00 am I reported to my appointment in downtown Miami. By 3:00 pm I had my new passport and we hopped in the car and made the 5-hour drive back home. Then the next day I drove to Orlando and flew back to the ship. It might have been last minute, but God made a way for me to get my passport in time. I have 10 more years of traveling ahead of me. Praise God!
